Here is a small Lion / Herakles 2nd-3rd Century I could not resist. It's style reminds me of older, BCE coins IMHO. I have focused on 3rd century collecting these last few years so this fits my collection quite nicely!:)
Feel free to post your Herakles / Lion coins!:)

@ Roman Collector, those are both awesome! I do not have an ancient wrestling the lion version, but it is on my list to get.

What a really COOL coin, @TJC ! I like the Lion graphics, and Herakles reminds me of Celtiberian coins (BCE) from Osca

Those are neat coins. I had not heard of the story of Heracles and the Nemean lion until now! Very neat to see the stories of mythology take place on coins.

How ‘bout a Melk(q)art / Herakles and Lion version...

Coins were struck in the name of Libya and "M", which has been taken as either "machanat" - the Camp (of the mercenaries), or perhaps Matho, their leader

@ Alegondron, all of those are great! A Kassander has been on my list for long time bit have not pulled the trigger on any. Your RR Herakles wrestling the lion is very nice; it is of a style that I prefer. Is it just me or your Melqart an over strike? Cool effect "epsilon?" in the middle of the lions body IMO.
