All Classic DDD - Die Deterioration Doubling. That is caused by worn dies. Nothing to do with a true DDO Variety. Here is some information - http://www.error-ref.com/die-deterioration-doubling-incuse/
Strike 3.... Thank you sir.... Think that's gonna end my day, and night... Lol... Appreciate your time and knowledge....And thanks for the information, shared... I guess if I'm going to start getting a little more serious about collecting, I should probably learn as much as I can about it... Thank you once again..
I would keep this coin as a good reference for future comparison. There's nothing like having an in-hand example.
@BBoy1503 ...presuming no one has already offered this: Go to doubleddie.com, John Wexler’s website, and read the sections to the left on the homepage. You already have error-ref, but if you are into Lincoln cents you should visit lincolncentresource.com. It has info on all things Lincoln... ...and, Welcome to CoinTalk!…Spark
Welcome to CT @BBoy1503. I can certainly see why you questioned this coin. Good eye. It is confusing with so many poorly minted Zincoln cents now. The plating is causing so many false errors that it is almost not worth checking them. At least for me. Good luck on your searches.
Just want to thank ALL of you for your time, feedback, knowledge, and references... Much appreciated Thank you... I have some more coins that I'll be posting and as ive stated in my previous posts, all knowledgeable feedback, suggestion, and opinions are very much welcomed and appreciated...
