This is the clad version. Again, it's a PCGS Proof 69 Deep Cameo Clad Half Dollar. Again my cell phone camera is reflecting in the lower left coner but on the obverse this time.
I see some dings in front of the ear, maybe. Other than that, my first thought was the same, "why not 70?"
I can't tell marks from fuzz in pictures. I have some 69s and I can't tell why. I was wondering if there was something (finish, strike, etc) that is usually use to decide. Just once I would like to see a 69 next to a 70 and be able to tell the difference.
I can't tell with this coin or the silver one I posted. I'll post 2 more tomorrow and I'll be darn if I can tell the difference.
