I’ll be honest. I don’t buy much directly from the mint. I feel that most of their products don’t hold their value and can be picked up cheaper on the secondary market.

When I think about mint products I think of things like the ASE. The 2020-W ASE BU is priced at $54. Silver is currently at $24. That’s just too big of a difference for me.

It’s in a virus relief bill tangled up in Congress.

Agree 100%. I got into buying direct from the Mint when I began collecting the First Spouse series. After ten (10) years, I guess I've been conditioned.

Thankfully when those came out I didn’t have any money. Haha.

Manufacturing cost are going up at a rate that is slowing or killing the market for many products. The mint is in a tough spot. I would bet that they are having a shortage of workers and packaging. I can't ever guess the cost of daily cleaning for each area of the mint that stays open. There is also a shortage of workers that are willing to do the cleaning. It's a crazy world.

Here we go again!!! I will spell it out for you. You seem unable to comprehend the obvious. Political comments are not welcome. Who wrote conspiracy? Not me. You have made an assumption, again. Name the professor and when he allegedly made the comment. It appears you seek to use the Occam's Principle, but, in my opinion, fail in the task. Horses and zebras? I'm sure you can make a more pertinent analogy, but maybe not. What are the weird claims of which you speak? You wanted to know "why I thought that" and I responded. Were I to grade your civil discourse, an F- would be fitting. I'm a joke? You do not like when someone calls you to task. In other posts between us, you have avoided questions I have asked you to support. Instead, you pick a word in my reply and steer the direction down a new path. Your tactics do not fool me and it is time for someone to stand up to you and your acidic comments. It seems to me you are a fight looking for an opponent. I consider you a bully and in my younger days, I suffered no bullies, I put them on the ground. It this a threat to you? NO!!!. I offer this answer so you cannot claim you were threatened. I suggest you take some time to fully comprehend what I have written and compose yourself before replying, then re-think your response before commenting. I realize this may be a task for you, so take your time and make a cogent reply if you feel you must.

I think this is a big part of it. There is so much more these days than just doing the job. Everything has to be cleaned and prepared for the next shift. You can’t just work for 8 hours and bring the next crew in.

The mint is also out of American Samoa bat coins in bags and rolls.

Wow. I don’t even know what to make of this. I simply asked why you feel that the mints slowing down is not related to social distancing. You said it was “poppycock” and in other threads say you don’t believe what “you read and hear.” That sounds like some kind of conspiracy to me. If you have an actual explanation I’d love to hear it. Nothing I have said here is political.

You are correct, that professor I cited was referencing Occams Razor in his own folksy way. You refer to citing him as “alleged” as if I made it up for some reason. Why would I do that? I have no reason to. If you must know, his name was Dr Kratovichl and he said this at some point during my four years in grad school. I don’t recall exactly when. But I have found this applies in most cases...the simplest answer is usually right.

So, now in multiple threads you have refused to answer my questions, referred to me as “acidic” and now you tell me that in your time you would have physically assaulted me...though it’s not threat and somehow I’m the “bully.” I stand by what I said. You’re a joke.

  12. Do you have a conspiracy theory of my conspiracy theory, because I have a conspiracy theory of your conspiracy theory?

Here's the problem. You did not take enough time to read my post as I suggested and you reply with this "poor little me" post hoping to absolve youself of your transgressions. I believe you have a difficult time reading the actual meaning of my posts. They are quite clear. Some examples of what I mean are: I did not write "alleged", check the post. You assume I am creating a conspiracy by the words you employ. Whatever are trying to indicate? You infer by my bully comment that I would have assaulted you. I made no threat to you, but once again, you pick and choose. You are a bully and your post are all the proof anyone needs to prove this assertion. Now, regarding unanswered questions you indicate. How many of the questions I have asked you in multiple posts, have you answered? The answer is, the professor's name. In response to a comment in this post, is not "You're a joke" "acidic"? A perusal of this entire thread, by you, may enlighten you as to why I respond to you in this manner.

I just checked the website - it hasn't changed in weeks (or more). I know the ASE-W's sold out very quickly; they didn't make many. I had no trouble buying a couple, and they were actually shipped 1st Class Mail and arrived in 2 days; I was shocked. I also bought my 5 share limit of the RP Connecticut Innovation Dollar with no issues, and again very fast 1st Class Mail shipping. Actually I'm signed up for subscriptions for both of these...so they just come; shipped on day of release.

I watched Mezacks shows (via DVR...could not imagine watching they "live") both Saturday and this morning - nothing was mentioned about shut-downs/partial shut-downs.

But I did find this https://www.post-gazette.com/busine...oin-supply-to-purchasers/stories/202007290052; which answers pretty all the questions and what others have been saying.

So yeah...watch and see I guess. A lot of it could be supply/demand too. I do find it odd that social distancing is just now affecting production.

Ok. You absolutely did say he “allegedly” made that comment. So I changed the tense to make my sentence grammatically correct. I’m not the one here who nit picks anything.

once again you refuse to answer the question. You just sit there and ramble on about how I’m an acidic poster.

I did in fact read your entire post but I’m not going to respond to every line. I actually have more to my life. I’m not some old man sitting in front of the computer.

perhaps if you would answer the question I wouldn’t say you are a joke. But thread after thread you refuse to actually post any backing to your comments and when someone questions it you throw a fit.

and for what it’s worth...telling someone you would assault them and then saying it’s not a threat doesn’t absolve you of the comment. That is in fact against the rules here.

as for me, I have committed no “transgressions.”

I’m really curious what’s gonna happen with the privy mark ASEs that are due to go on sale in the fall. I’d really like to grab one (or at least try) but who knows what will happen now.

@CamaroDMD Here's a thought. If you do not care to get into issues with me and I am a joke, don't respond to my posts. It's that simple. I won't miss you.

So typical of you, no facts, just comments. Example, show where I wrote "allegedly" in my original post regarding the professor's comment and, what question are you referring to?

The mint sells ASE's to the authorized buyers for $2.00 over spot, with a 25-Thousand ounce minimum purchase requirement!
