I found a struck-through Hawaii the other day. It isn't overly dramatic, but under strong magnification you can see the fibers of the paper towel that got in the way. Has anyone else found much in the way of this kind of producton error in the state quarter series? Since the mint cleaned up production so much, it seems like this stuff is almost never seen anymore. Sorry for no pics, I don't have one of those cool computer microscopes.

Honestly Mike, I personally feel that a great deal of the coins minted during this program were done so with dies that were poorly engraved. I've seen many coins come out with what I called rays from dies that have been obviously hand tooled at some point. I look for perfection in the coins I collect, but I have saved some of these "screw ups" or poor workmanship examples because I found them.

I haven't seen any Hawaii rolls yet. I'm ready for this series to end.

    Keep on Collecting!!!
