I'll be soon investing in the third 1909 S VDB that I've owned in my lifetime. The other two are long gone...the last one being an AU53 and the very first one was raw...and I can't remember the grade on that one. I'm only buying the key dates this time instead of the whole set...yeah...thats what I say now...haha...Sorry about the images...these are sellers pictures.
If this is truly your intent, then you really need to slow down and do your investment research. The asking price is considerably more than what can be seen in the recent market. Being an investment, I would assume you are buying the plastic and not the coin, so to speak? If that is the case, I would think the VF25 at $25 more would be a better investment overall...but still way over-priced. You can use the PCGS site to view some recorded sales from this year and see that a CAC VF25 went for $775, an XF40 for $900, and an XF45 for $950. There was even one lucky individual that grabbed an AU55BN for just $900! Waiting is part of the process. I would suggest you shop around a bit more to get the most return on your investment. Now, it's not my money, but if it were, I would consider other offerings that are not so skewed in their asking price.
Thank you NPCoin...I have been collecting since 1979 so you'd think I wouldn't be so anxious. haha. I think I'll wait for a better deal.
Oh heck man. If anything over the years I have lost the ability to wait. Once I get it in my mind that I gotta have a coin... I am worse than a kid at the candy isle!
