1849 Quarter Eagle in a Yellow Slab?

    The red book is a guide and nothing more so their prices aren't written in stone but you may be able to buy on for that price who knows? Truth is what I said above, Both NGC and PCGS together have only graded less than 250 so it's quite a rarity.

    Fair enough, but what really counts is what you can buy it for. This one is listed as XF. Here is an MS62 for 800 bucks:

    It makes me wonder why something that rare isn't going for more.

    Yeah, but that's a $1 coin, mine is a $2.50. I have a couple $1 posted above, low grade but I don't have hundreds of dollars to buy one! :D

    Also, remember your 2021 RedBook was published in April 2020 so the prices are from Q4 2019 - at best...
