Good one! :D What really got me about the scammer is that he's trying to sell a fake coin and by the prices he's posted it's obvious he doesn't know anything about coins at all! :inpain:

There's a fake coin seller I've been following on Etsy. She's sold 60 items so far. Probably made 10 to 15 thousand in a few weeks. All you need is a couple naive buyers and your set.

That actually looks close to genuine. The marbled luster is right for the issue

So where is your evidence that this coin is fake? I don’t see any indicators. @fretboard

No evidence, the pics aren't that good but I still think it's fake. Since the scammer doesn't know what he's talking about that's another good indicator that it could possibly be fake. Besides that, the luster don't look right either.

Do you realize how stupid this logic is?

Do you have any evidence that he has scammed anyone? How does he not know what he is talking about? An MS-67 went for over $43,000. $3000 is MS-65+ price. The coin looks UNC, so he is not overly out of the ballpark. I doubt it is as high of grade the price suggests.

Maybe it is you that has no idea what you are talking about. The luster looks perfectly fine.

I come on this forum to learn, if you know it all then good for you!!! I wonder if anyone else here thinks that coin is real with the lousy pics that the person listed with? That's what I wonder does anyone else think it's real?????

Well, then you can learn that assuming coins with bad pictures are fake, publicly posting them as such with 100% certainty, declaring the seller is a scammer, and having no evidence to back up your claim is extremely bad form and extremely counterproductive.

One down, more to go! :D Don't you think for even a minute if the seller really had a St. Gaudens that was UNC he would take the time to take better pics???

If you read what I wrote instead of assuming I was wrong, you would see that I literally said it was probably overpriced relative to the grade:

True, but you also stated the above.
