This is a rough part in the semester - I have papers and exams coming out my wazoo. But the good news is, my research is *almost* done. Post some sweet ancient coins to distract me!

    I'll start off:

Nahhhh - that's a bit early for me. Didn't like the designs either.

    How about an English angel?

Tell some more about that one, at least. Which Charles is it?

Was never lucky enough to own an Angel. Closest I ever go to something like that would be the Rose Noble.

It's Charles V, the big guy himself ;) You can read about that coin in a small article I wrote - HERE

The one pictured in the article is different than the one I posted here. I was trying to get a mint set of them.

Nice! Usually those issues have a koppa or another letter to indicate the city, I've only seen the triskeles once or twice. Is that for Corinth, or one of her colonies?

Can a mod move this to the general forum? Maybe we need a little variety, throw some US coins in this mix...

well, let's see if these distract you a little.

PS - you say you are in the middle of exams and papers? that sounds like university to me. I never would have guessed you are that young!

Yup, only 20. In my third year.

As for your coins: The Galbas were nice. The Pupienus is better. but is that DIDIUS JULIANUS?!?!?! I would do unspeakable things...
