    Hi!

I found this penny about 20 years ago and have held on to it...
What is your opinion of it? Can you tell me what type of error it is? (maybe a a grease filled die?) Thanks for your input!
These are the best pics I can get :(

The pics make it pretty hard to tell...but it looks like the last number of the date is missing, looks like 197?. I would assume a greased filled die, but it could be something else. Without betters pics it would be very difficult to tell. Your camera should have a macro setting, that should help you take better photos.

It's on the macro setting; but yes it is a 197?
Let me try a few more settings...

Holy smokes, a Lincoln Penny from the year 197 ... YOU HIT THE JACKPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :D

Looks like a grease-filled die to me too. Neat, but not terribly valuable, I don't think....Mike

    Through the looking glass....

Well, let's see how this turns out. I saw some other folks taking pics through their loupe and tried it too. Thanks for you input!

I think first it needs to be authenticated and its impossible to do from the net.

Maybe Doug has the expertise but I couldn't tell if that was an error or damage.

Clearly, the "D"iana bacchus.... um... er... or was that "D"iscordia baccus. So much fine wine, I have trouble remembering. :D

That's a grease filled die cent. Not very valuable but fun to find and collect.
