There are so, so, so many different designs for Celtic coins. Some are loosely based on Greek or Roman coins, some are very much Celtic.
Here are a few from the first category (based on Roman or Greek):
[1174] Danubian celts - Danube region; Eastern Celts (AR drachm, 200-100 BC).jpg
Danubian Celts, with Zeus on the obv; a horse on the reverse

[1173] Danubian celts - Danube region; Eastern Celts (AE drachm, 200-100 BC).jpg
Idem, but slightly larger nose ;)

    [1193] Annonymous - Danube region; Eastern Celts (AE 22, 200-100 BC).jpg
Based on Macedon: head of Zeus on obv; trident on reverse

[1166] Iberocelts - Near Castillo, Iberia (current Spain) (AE semis, 200-100 BC).jpg
Iberocelts; stylistic (Augustus?) bust on obv; typical reverse with moon and animals

    [11117] Annonymous - Obulco (current Porcuna, Spain) (ae semis, c 100 - 0 BC).jpg
    Idem

The second category, very much Celtic:

    Lingones Potin.jpg
    Lingones

[1185] Annonymous - The Netherlands and Western Germany (BI Regenbogenschüsselchen , ca. 100 BC).jpg
    Lower countries

[1128] Durotriges celts - Durotriges region (AR Quarter Stater, 58 BC - AD 43).jpg
Durotriges (UK) with a boat; lightning bolt...

It's just such an interesting field!

Here is an aureus of a pudgy Nero, and an an aureus that is a dynastic issue of Vespasian with both his sons riding horseback on the reverse.

This is my sole Byzantine gold piece and indeed my sole Byzantine coin for the time being.

I never really got started in smoking, and I STILL do not have enough money for all the coins I want!

I was spending $150 per month on cigarettes and smoking about 7 cigs per day. The savings equates to about 1 decent coin per month in addition to my regular coin budget.

For me, Byzantine is outside my main collecting area so 'feels' twice as expensive as something I really 'need'. (So is gold, come to think of it). Maybe Greek and Roman gold just fits better within people's parameters (and is where they're looking in the first place).

Still, that didn't stop me getting a Byzantine bronze...I love the bold design and 'look to camera' style after so many Roman profiles. It's a sizeable 29mm too, and it's only a half follis.
