Any thoughts on a possible grade on this 1972 DDO?
I plan to send it to NCG or PCGS to slab to be sure it's genuine and not a cleaned coin.

Could it be at least a 65?

    Thank you

Very nice. IMO it should reach at least a 65. Don't know how much those rim nicks will affect the grade.

Nice strong DDO, but it could get Details due to the rim nicks.
That being said I would send it in for grading.

Is NCG or PCGS easier on Rim dings?
I was planing to send to PCGS but like NCG also.
Although I plan to keep this coin in my collection for many years.

I grade this about a MS64 at PCGS.

From the photos I can't tell what the mark is in the left obverse field by the head. I would guess it would grade MS 64 because of it, assuming the rim nicks don't prevent it from getting straight graded.

Wow is right. That's the nicest DDO since the 1955. Thanks for sharing and I hope it does get the MS65 your want.

I agree with dwhiz. After seeing what a nice looking coin you had, I then noticed all the rim nicks. Unfortunately, I then couldn't "unnotice" them.

It's a coin I'll keep 20 years and sell in retirement, or my wife can after I DIE!!!

TRUE, when I was buying this I didn't even notice the rim marks, only focused on the DDO and surfaces. I will be HAPPY even if this comes back 63 or 64!!
