I’m aware of the articles and that PCGS called and was told they’re not ending coin sales but the reality is they are notifying sellers they must switch and can’t sell going forward...

I read an article in Coin World, and they interviewed Ebay. The gentleman from Ebay said that was not the case.

How do you buy and sell coins on FB? I know very little about FB except for all the silly political and cute cat posts, LOL! Where are the coin merchant pages and how does one find them?

I never use eBay for anything on purpose. Researching sometimes lists eBay links and info that I can’t avoid.

And, I avoid PayPal unless there is no alternative to conducting business...Spark

Head over to "Groups" on the main menu. From there you can search coin pages. There are hundreds out there. Feel free to IM me and I can point you in the right direction.

I don't believe it. Without the coin and accessory area I have no use for ebay!

Not sure why this was mentioned. It seems Ebay is full steam ahead.

I have just started collecting. Starting with Walking Liberty halves. Also interested in Peace dollars and Roosevelt dimes.

What I've always admired about ebay's sales model, annoying as some of the other details are, is that it's predicated on the assumption that you Know what you want, and then go Looking for it. Rather than being beaten over the head with what somebodys Wants you to want. ...No Thanks!

I just went to ebay and dug around and found the actual coin and currency policy. They will still allow selling coins and currency. I'd provide the link, but doesn't that violate cointalk policy? Here is the ebay policy, copied and pasted from ebay:

    What is the policy?
    • Listings for graded coins and currency must have been graded by an eBay-approved company such as NGC, PCGS, ANACS, ICG, or PMG
    • Listings for ungraded coins and currency or raw currency:
      • Must not include a non-approved grading company, numeric grade or estimated value anywhere in the listing and can't show an image of the item in a graded holder if the image shows a grade
      • Must include photos of the front and back of the actual item for sale (stock photos are not allowed)
      • Must have a starting, reserve, or Buy It Now price of less than $2,500
    • Listings for current, exchangeable, ungraded currency from any country worldwide cannot exceed $1,000 in value, whether in a single listing or in a combination of multiple listings

I would hit up ATX. Are you on FB?

    Wow. Strict.
If a coin is ungraded why would there be a graded holder? If there is a graded holder, it's graded!
So I guess they only allow higher value coins to be listed if it is graded by an approved TPG.
I'm not sure what that last item is even saying exactly.
