    The 1951 is interesting. Can't tell what happened.

    The 1935 is circulation damage.

    First, welcome to CT @Jim Beevers, your first coin appears to have been painted with possibly finger nail polish on the obverse. The reverse could be wear from years of circulation, or possibly from a grease filled die. Others here are more experienced in that, so I'll defer to their comments. The second coin is just PMD, post mint damage, happening after it left the mint, through a lot of years of circulation. In my opinion, nothing worth more than face value, but let's wait to see what others say.
