This Morgan has seen some rough years (well, decades), but I took a look under the O mint mark just to be sure. This was the year that the Carson City dies were shipped out to New Orleans for reuse and some dies had traces of the old CC mark around the O.

Is there enough detail left to attribute this?

    I don't see the O over CC. ~ Chris

I see no signs of the O over a CC.

Just found my photo. Despite the wear you can still see the O/CC mintmark. There is a small nubbstvthd top but it's hard to capture on my cell.

The last photo is too, too blurry, and I'm still not convinced. ~ Chris

A little blurry but you can see the bottom of the C for sure. It looks like a Q but slightly higher. Not certified but it's been approved as one by numerous dealers.

I saw the mark in both images, but I would still prefer to see a clearer image. Look at it this way. If you were trying to sell it on eBay, do you think that image would be good enough for the only person bidding on it? Just call me picky! ~ Chris

I don't consider you picky. Sometimes, and this was one of them, I just can't seem to get a clear photo. All I have is my cell. Most times it dies great but some objects just don't get sharp no matter what I do.

Unfortunately, the only thing that is quite evident is the obverse damage. ~ Chris
