Perhaps when economy is down , pro graders are soliciting for re-submission of slabbed stuff , for revenue generation ??? Graders would increase grades if word gets around (like here) , at any cost ...
I doubt it! I don't think they will risk their jobs, especially given the current economic situation, just because "word gets around". "like here"? Are you kidding me? When so many CTer's want to know how much their "die crack" or road rash is worth? They stand a better chance on Etsy. Yeah, graders are going to listen to these "experts" alright! ~ Chris
You 'hope not' it , because perhaps the value of your slabs might go down. . YES. Google 'coin forums', and see what comes up 1st. But perhaps you're thinking that internet doesn't drive, or have effect on markets ??? Think again , grasshoppa .......
I don't have to Google anything. I read the BS on these forums every day. Just because CT comes up all the time means nothing. Don't worry about my slabs. I sold all of the good stuff years ago and made a very nice profit on them. Why don't you do the same? List all of your slabs on eBay with a 99c open and no reserve and see how you fare. ~ Chris
Over the years that I have observed them, the grades got sloppy during periods of hot markets. Maybe it was because lots of coins were sent in for grading and they got "slammed." They tended to get conservative when the market was down. Perhaps the theory was that "PQ" for the grade coins would generate higher prices during down markets?
