Found at Weis's supermarket in Rehoboth Beach, DE on 2 July. Would like to have seen what else the person fed into the machine. First find in about 2 weeks but have not gotten around much.

That's so amazing! I could never find something like that in a coin star. It's not every day that you find original type coins in the wild, even if they're holed. Congratulations on the haul.

Very nice find! And you're right, I'd like to see what else they fed into that machine.

I don't recognize the top coin, but you've got a 2-cent, shield nickel, barber quarter, and seated lib dime, and Indian head cent.

For sheer uniqueness alone, you certainly beat my best haul.

Those are some very interesting finds; you should post pictures for each of the individual coins when you get a chance.

Potentially, it is unusual to get a type set in pocket change.

My wife used to think I was weird till I got a $30 haul of silver a year ago. Now when we are leaving a store she asks me if I checked the Coinstar machine.

By the way this was not a Coinstar machine but a different kind of machine. I just use the Coinstar name for reference. I had quite a bit of luck with this machine over the years.

My best haul was a full roll's worth of 50 90% silver Roosevelt dimes.

I feel bad since that was probably stolen, but then again, finders keepers...

Interesting find. I found a 1920's Lincoln cent once.
