I am not sure if these pictures are good enough for a "Guess the Grade" thread, but thought I would try. Here is my newest acquisition to my Peace Dollar set. Only 1934 S remains which may be purchased in August if I am lucky to find one. Anyway, have fun and I'll release the grade photo in a couple of days. Happy 4th to all! 20200703_210639.jpg 20200703_210608.jpg

MS 61. Baggy, and fields show lots of contact marks. Reverse is much better than obverse.

It is a good collection filler coin for the date.
Not quite that expensive. Takes a huge jump in gem grades. MS lower grade examples are not too pricey.

    I'd call it a '58.

    I gotta go AU-58.
The 1924-S gets pricy in gem grades but I think it's affordable in lower AU and MS grades.

Well, here she is. I have to say I was hopeful when I bought it and when I saw it in hand I was very pleased. That reverse is nice and lustrous with great detail on that eagle and feathers. The obverse also has nice luster but I can see how the marks and light wear on the hair can influence the grade. Regardless, I have other 58's that look worse than this one, so I am shocked it did not meet low end MS. Overall, I am happy given the date and mint. Thanks for guessing and enjoying my new slider.
