    Proof coins are struck twice.
Although it does have the look of a DDR.

Not unless you pay to have it attributed.

That must be requested at the time of service and it will cost more money.

Wow. Didn't know that's how they worked. ANACS and PCGS too ?

I inherit some coins, maybe a '55 dd, send it off without asking for attribution, they slab it, and make no notation of dd ???

    That borders unethical, IMO ...................................................

If you inherited a 55 Doubled Die don't you think that you would check the little box that says attribution? Just saying. The Tpg's are interested in making money. If the coin is evident of the DD than I believe Anacs and Icg will usually just attribute it.
Otherwise it has to be attributed by a qualified expert that they employ.

Point is P&G, if I inherited coins that I knew nothing about, and thought to have pro grader check it out, I'd hope it would be sent back.

'check box', for attribution ? Again, if I knew nothing about coins , ... , well, I guess I should know better than to trust ANACS, PCGS, or NGC.

No employees of them here, thankfully ................................................

I decided to try a cross over. (WITH variety attribution, lol) Guess we shall see.

Feel like it was worth the crossover, although I thought it was stronger doubling on the reverse.
