I like 65. Is that fingerprint on the coin or the slab?

This coin is very attractive in hand. The technical grade for me is between 63 and 64. I think the strike is rather soft but I saw this on several 1930s. I think the luster and lack of contact marks move it into 64 territory. The coin has great eye appeal especially in hand.

As for the fingerprint, yes it’s on the coin. Often times a fingerprint really distracts from the overall eye appeal but doesn’t necessarily pull the grade down that much. This coin seems to have been netted down though. Due to the placement of the fingerprint I find it doesn’t detract eye appeal for me and it looks quite like he has some battle paint on his cheek.

At a 62 that means they thought the coin had some rub. I thought I saw some rub or flatness on the cheek, front leg, tail, and horn. I would imagine if this coin was graded today it would vet bumped 1 or two grades.

Morgandude11 As long as it's Silver, I'm listening

I would agree that if graded today, it would be a 64, easily. Is the coin attractive, irrespective of the fingerprint? To me, absolutely. I really think the toning is desirable, and a fingerprint does not kill the grade whatsoever.
