Hello, I listed the item on eBay and put a large tag just to get a feel for offers and so I can show you guys the pictures easily.

I can’t tell what the mint is, can anybody clear it up for me? It sort of looks like a S to me.
Any advice or comments would be appreciated , thank you.

That's a whole lot of money for an average Morgan!

I’m not expecting that price I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t bought while I was getting information

I'm not sure what error you're referring to as I'm not seeing anything stand out. A 1892-S had 1,200,000 minted and according to the Red Book in EF-40 it's a $300 coin. To me this is more in the 20-25 grade range. Way overpriced.

It's an S mintmark and looks to be heavily cleaned. No error.

I didn’t clean it and received them from a 95 year old man who had them stored , but who knows

All Morgan dollars up to 1921 have a VAM attribution. And the 1892-s VAM5 has a doubled s/s mintmark attributed to it. It's hard to see but it is listed. However looking at your coin it would be extremely difficult to ascertain what sort of mintmark it is due to the extremely blunt, polished looking surface to it and from the fotos I can't see anything else that compares to VAM5

Likewise. It just looks like a rather blobby "S" to me, and is likely nothing unusual, unless it is some kind of VAM variety. The specialists in that sort of thing can chime in on that.

Normal 1892-S that has XF40 detail but has been harshly cleaned.

The OP is questioning I think if it is a doubled mintmark.

correct, from far it looks like a really worn S, but close up it looks like a square filled in pretty much.
