I am wondering what could have cause the damage to Lincoln's face. Just pass his right eye the indent is pretty deep....Right under that it appears that the copper has been peeled back and into his ear...No way of knowing where that could have happened. Mint? No Mint?...But that indent sure looks much deeper than it should be...What do you think may have cause that?....I am guessing the coin stuck to a piece of gum which was stuck to someone's shoe and it stuck in a way that Lincoln's cheek keep hitting the pavement. And the person who was wearing that shoe was hitchhiking across his state....Don't know which state though...Any ideas?.....I mean about the cent? And which state?
