    I don't think it is PMD. Looks more like a Planchet Lamination. De-laminated.

    Lamination issues sometimes get confused with phantom lettering. We've had discussions with other members in past threads where they swear the Cent was struck over another coin.

    I thought the skid mark running between his head and Liberty, that continues down onto his collar, looked like PMD. No?

    I gave you a great attribution.. It's a Lamination Mint Error. Sometimes they extend that much.. Now take it and run! Enjoy! :woot:

    Above Liberty looks like PMD but I'm not sure what that is on the coat collar.It looks like it may be a small area of lamination

    I'm saying it's a lamination going from the rim at 10 o'clock all the way to his collar. Nice find!
