QUERIE ABOUT THIS 20-S LINCOLN PENNY

hello, and greetings all...i just purchased this 20-s Lincoln..i noticed the rim on obv and rev is very thick, wondering if an error, or just wear..thank you for your input!!

Just wear. Hopefully you bought it for a fair price. A 1920 s penny is worth about 15 cents in that condition. But, there is the fact that it is a woodie, so that would bump the price up to about 85 cents IMHO.

 

Looks normal to me for a worn early wheat cent. Nice woodie!

That's normal, the rim just kind of folds onto itself

 

It’s a normal rim. They just made the coins better back then.

 

yeah, do not know what i was seeing when i bid on this one, must of been off my mind that day, 5.00 i paid...lol i know..def not worth the bid on this one, but most of the time i buy for about 1/2 to 1/4 retail...this one got me..(ouch)

 

might be a very minor MAD

 

I love the old Woodie cents. Not a bad looker.
$5 ain’t much these days.
