My LCS has half pages from some older collector who had scads of doubled die and die clash foreign coins for cheap that I searched through and found some I could see. I kept looking for a Brazil doubled die I have seen that was almost like the 1955 doubled die LMC

Is this a doubled die or machine doubling?

From the amount of separation and the notch, I would say doubled die, but would readily bow to others here who are more experienced than me.

Looks more like MD . If it is a doubled die the smaller letters should show doubling easier to see than the bigger letters do. This is a good thing for beginners to learn IMO .

I have a 5 millim coin from Sudan here somewhere . I had Mr Wexler attribute it for me many years ago. It looks to have as much or more doubling that the USA 1955 doubled die cent. Some foreign coins shows really good doubling .
