Go for the gold! I understand the challenge and desire to make that kind of goal. My journey started lasted summer at about 265. Now at 195. I knew it would be beneficial but never realized how much better I would feel. Good luck!

I will keep going, but today was like my team getting blown out in a loss. Great meal and I enjoyed it. The same won’t happen tomorrow. No worries. And Dammit I want a nice coin when I drop below 200!

    Not so good????????????
Not turning a year older is a whole lot worse!!!!!!

Congrats on your accomplishment so far. Don't give up.

I lost 50 lbs about 5 years ago. And I've kept every pound off since then. Three of the most important subtractions to my diet have been to completely eliminate high fructose corn syrup from my diet. Believe it or not that is a very difficult thing to do since sooooo many food items (even cough syrups) include HFCS.

The second best addition by subtraction to my diet was to drink water as my primary beverage during meals and between meals. Eliminating all soft drinks was huge. No more soda, at all.

Third, I know this will be tough, I eliminated all alcohol. Yes I enjoyed single malt scotch, wine and beer, but the benefits of no alcohol were astonishing.

Again, kudos on the weight loss @Dimedude2

Thanks, but I ate too much today. But tomorrow is a new day. This has been a good journey so far - and I will reach my goal so I can purchase a nice coin!

Good for you. Excellent. Was it both diet and exercise?

glad you are successful, alas me Da' was not, and this is what killed him (cholesterol and heart attacks) his was stress eating due to the aggravation me Mum' gave him from slowly dying in a nursing home, i am glad you have lost the weight and hope you keep it off, i truly miss me Da'......(sigh)

John I am very sorry to hear that. The reason I started this weight loss journey was to lower blood sugar level which was at a pre-diabetic level that really lit a bolt in my head to get my health turned around. Work is very stressful but I try to work out everyday during lunch, and walk to clear my head. These are difficult times with everything going on, but we need to take care of ourselves. And in this journey, why not convolve it with our beloved hobby? I am currently down to 222 lbs and taking to gradual, and hopefully smart weight loss with good nutrition and exercise.

So what would be cool to own once I break 200?

A 200 year old coin of course. One of your choosing and in a grade your budget allows.

    Keep on keeping on!

I will keep trying. I saw a Fugio I liked but then there was green stuff on it so I punted. Maybe an old half or dollar would do the trick

Well, I continue the journey and I am down to 205. If I keep my job and break the Mendoza line, life will be good coin wise. Blood sugar level below prediabetic, and cholesterol dropped 15%. Doctor was pleased.

Nice. A nice fugio is a good goal. I’ve had a few I’ve sold and have one myself. I’m losing a bit too by eating better and not drinking. Never lost my winter weight and was lingering around 225-230 and am down to 212. Anything under 210 I’ll be happy 205 my goal I’m physically quite active anyway so it’s food and alcohol I need to watch

Buy a nice pre-1809 half cent. You'll have that 1/200 fraction on the reverse to remind you of your accomplishment.
