I agree with those in the cleaned camp. XF45 details cleaned. Un-even wear also makes it questionable to me.
Yes, that's what I am afraid of. The fields appear to have been rubbed with an eraser or something. The base grade would be AU-50 without the possible extra work that may have been done on the peice.
here are a set of photos. I know there is circulation marks on this coin and maybe an old cleaning. Hint it did Straight Grade.
I have the hardest time taking photos of coins. And this piece does look so much better in hand. Even if it has possibly had an older cleaning and refined.
