First post. I would like to thank anyone and everyone for a free contest. If I win it will go to my daughter. Here are her recent additions to merc dimes.

I wish the us mint would change designs of coins to something in the order of walking liberty half, merc. Dimes, buffalo nickels, etc. I am tired of ex presidents on coins.

I'm just gonna jump right in and start drawing winners. So, without further ado...

@thomas mozzillo- you won Prize #1! That means you get to choose from my Pick Bin.

    Click the picture
and allow the link a moment or two to load.

Also, since I'm in the process of adding new stuff to that, there are more goodies which are not yet shown. You could let me know your particular interests.

(Yeah, yeah, I know- Saint-Gaudens double-eagles, platinum proofs, and Bust dollars. Got it.) ;)

@cpm9ball - you won Prize #4, which was kindly donated by @dwhiz!

Y'all get together via PM and keep us posted here on shipping and receiving status. Thanks, @dwhiz!

@greed ball - you were our next winner.

Since Prize #1, your first choice, was already drawn, your next pick was Prize #3, which was graciously donated by @Chris B.

However, I'll tell you what- it is no problem for you too to have a Prize #1 pick if you want.

If that is what you'd like, click the picture below and allow the link a moment or two to load. Then inform me of your selection and shipping address via PM.

We could swap out: @Chris B could then send Prize #3 to me. (I like either the Stalin Hell note or the one from Qatar.)

OR, if you want your second choice after all (Prize #3), just contact @Chris B.

Works just fine for me either way. :)

    Thank you, @Chris B!

@Neal - you were the final winner drawn.

Since Prize #1 was your first pick, I see no reason not to let you have that. Besides, I'm out of the labels I need to ship any more of the elongated coin sets right now.

You should have gotten Prize #2 (the elongated coin set) by default, but I am currently out of the labels I use on the envelopes for those.

So Prize #1 it is. (Again.)

Click the picture and allow the link a moment or two to load. Then let me know your pick of prizes and PM your address.

So that's a wrap on Giveaways #38 & #39, folks. Winners have a month to claim their prizes. I'll put up a donor signup thread for Giveaway #40 overnight. I plan on starting that tomorrow.

WOW! When I saw that I've been selected as winner of Prize #1 my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. I can't thank LordM and Friends enough for their generosity in holding this Giveaway. It will be a while before the excitement of winning settles down a bit.:joyful:

For his Prize #1 selection from the Pick Bin, @thomas mozzillo has chosen this...

(British) East Africa: silver shilling of George V, 1925, Brilliant Uncirculated

It is whiter than the photos indicate. And it is shipped.

I bought the coin above for my own Eclectic Box collection, but then remembered that having it certified at PCGS would cost more than the coin itself, so I'll hold out for a Gem and/or already-slabbed example. I do want one. This is a lovely, iconically "African" type. (I used to live in East Africa as a kid.) So I feel like I need one someday.

And this is a nice example, too. Well chosen, @thomas mozzillo. Enjoy. :)

Giveaway #40 is now open. (If you're wondering what happened to #39, that happened on the Coin Chat forum rather than Contests.)

I really appreciate the chance Lord M & friends gave me to enter the contests they have. I am thrilled to have won, and decided to accept the offer from @lordmarcovan to swap prizes. You can contact me through my email at [edited] because I could not figure out how to contact you with PM. Then I can give you my shipping address.
    Thank You all.

Hey Rob, quick question. What is your notation on the envelope, "Nonmachinable" mean? I'm pretty sure the postal service ignores comments like those and it automatically goes through the regular machine process, but don't know for sure, so if you have a secret, let us know.

  21. masterswimmer

masterswimmer A Caretaker, can't take it with me

That notation is a request for hand sorting as opposed to machine sorting. Whether the postal worker handling that post acknowledges that request is up to the individual postal employee.
