I've found a coin listed on eBay that I've been looking for.
It's in an OGH graded MS-61.
BUT it has a gold CAC sticker on it.

Based on what I think that means, it's MS-62.
Or does it mean that it's at least MS-62.
I'm trying to decide what to bid on it.

    It's hard to say.

The one time JA (founder of CAC) talked about it, he said a gold is a coin that would get a green at the next grade (so in your case he would say it's a 62 Green CAC).

Most that submit and have talked to JA say that a coin actually has to be about 2 points undergraded to get a CAC (so that would make your coin a 63).

And there are occasional cases where people have cracked out gold CAC coins and didn't get an upgrade at all (although I'd imagine this is fairly uncommon).

The only gold sticker CAC coin I have should not the have gotten it. The coin was brushed and hairlined. PCGS got it right with a net grade. Stupid me paid for the next grade. This was early in the CAC game, and I got sucked in.

There are lemmings who pay huge premiums for gold CAC coins, just because they have the gold sticker. If it’s really under graded, go for it if the price is fair. Otherwise pass if all you are buying is the sticker.

62 and more likely 63 price if you want it, your decision.

How big a spread between 61, 62, and 63? If it's a small spread, I'd go for it without hesitation. If it's a big spread, I'd try to see if the pictures make the coin look good for your needs. And if you can't tell from the pictures, make sure the seller has a strong return privilege.

Can you send us a link of the coin? If it's a good deal, then go for it because on auctions or even "But it Now" listings, people will pay more because of Gold CAC because of your question right there. If they crack it and resend, it could come back MS63 and they could double their money or at least make lots of profit.

Will you then remove the sticker and have it reholdered to have any history deleted to sell it at its current grade or crack it out and do so? Also show us pictures?

If not the pedestal is breaking

At least MS 61+ from CAC's perspective, right?
