    The main ones are:

    1936 DDO's
    1943 copper cent
    1944 steel cent
    45-S inverted MM
    55 DDO
    56-D RPM#1

I might have missed a couple, but someone will be along shortly and list the others, lol. And all S mints. Also, you might want to get a nice loupe (I have a 14x, and it works well!), to look for minor DDO's and DDR's, and RPM's. Check out www.coppercoins.com for more info. Good luck! :thumb:

Try to keep an eye out for the 1936 doubled-die, 1944-D/S, 1946-S/D, the famous 1955 doubled-die, and the 1958 doubled-die (which is extremely rare, but think positive!).There are norarities in these years in circulated condition.Unciculated dates before 1943 bring a decent return, however. Have fun, cherry-picking is fun.

Add to the list the '44-D/S and '46-S/D. See a more exhaustive list of these "keepers," at www.coppercoins.com (...click "die variety search," fill in the year, check the boxes).

Add 38-S/S to that, and the S/S/S

Basically, your better dates are 38-S,39-D,55-S

All the ideas offered above can overwhelm, but take your time, you might even have fun !!;)
