Yes, I went back with an alt as well. Was there for about 6 moths and then made the mistake of mentioning on the NGC forum that I had an alt. Didn't say what it was but my posting style is fairly obvious. I was banned again within 4 hours. They REALLY wanted me gone.

I was even using bad grammar and no emojis in the alt. Our IT guy was going to get me on again to prove how good he is but I changed my mind. Who wants to be a member of a place where you must hide your ID because they don't want you around. Only one person has the power to ask me back but that's not going to happen. I'd rather get a bunch of the posters like Tom Delorey, Roger Burdette, and Mark Feld to use CT also. Roger was banned over there just before me.

 

PCGS's loss NGC's gain. Roger seems to do pretty good there, although we do miss him here.

 

Depends what you did. The forum is being run as a professional business one under the new leadership and not the wild west of the old days. If you're criticizing numismatic stuff you likely get a warning, if you go off the deep end on non coin related stuff you may or may not

I draw lines. Molesting kids for 50 years including wasn't it his daughter as well as she reported him, yea I really don't care about some rudimentary findings from 30+ years ago from someone like that. Plenty of people have done better work since then.

 

Unfortunately, NGC's Forum is DEAD. It could be good if they worked on it but it would still be a very long comeback.

 

If they did that when I was going to college I would have been labeled another species.

 

My guess is that Sheldon wore a white lab coat. You would be amazed at what people will do for a person in a white lab coat. Are you familiar with Stanley Milgram's research on the amount of shock subjects gave other subjects (supposedly) when asked to go up on the shock by someone wearing a white coat and carrying a clipboard? Let's just say it may have gone beyond lethal at times.

 

His wife Marion Zimmer Bradley may have been a talented science-fiction/fantasy writer, but she was a child molestor as well. Specifically, of her own children, according to their testimony. What a revolting pair. She is now considered anathema -- many people now refuse to read her books.
