I really have very little experience with error coins but I am assuming that this Jefferson has a partial collar error. Is there any premium associated with this error?

The coin is very clean and is definitely MS65 with a shot at MS66 IMO.

My guess is there won't be a significant premium based on sales of some partial collar errors on eBay (Anacs UNC examples for around $20-$30). You can always try and list it to see if there is any interest.

Maybe the error people can tell us more.

The best person to ask is @paddyman98. I can't see any real value in that minor error.

To be honest no I was lucky to get $10/15 @ each for off strikes as far as rail road rims, mis aligned dies , even broad strikes the same price range. These are mostly error collectors with a few who may collect the series just wanting something different in their collection. I ended up giving, trading, selling a few.... and I had 100's from going though nickel bags.

Looks more like a Misaligned Die Strike om the Obverse side to me. The Reverse strike is perfectly centered.

Well yes, that one missed the strike zone just a tad.

That coin missed FS by one or two steps. I would still keep it!

The problem is that it isn’t good enough for my registry set, and I have a nicer 1977 in my album collection. Prolly gonna throw it up on the Bay.
