Can any one locate this coin with an Epsilon in the Left field and would a small difference such as this warrant an unpublished comment??? Emperor: Claudius II, Gothicus Marcus Aurelius Valerius Claudius Gothicus Roman Reign: 268 - 270 AD. AE Antoninianus: Size: (18mm) / Weight: (2.5gm) Obverse: IMP CLAVDIVS AVG, Radiate, bust of Claudius facing right... Reverse: VIRTVS AVG, soldier standing left, holding spear and branch, shield by foot, Epsilon in Left field... *(Possibly Unpublished)* Ref: RIC 110
For imperial issues of Claudius II to Florian, the place to search is the updated RIC online database that covers those reigns. Yours is a variant of RIC 1st 110, which you could now catalogue as New RIC V/1 Online temp #346.
Thank you for finding this and this additional online area to search. I keep trying to stumble across an unpublished coin however you guys are just to good...! Steven
