If real, those kind of look like proofs. According to PCGS, https://www.pcgs.com/prices/detail/flying-eagle-cent/664/most-active 1857 is worth ~$10,000 1858 is worth ~$10,000
I wouldn't think they are proofs. I was thinking maybe MS60-65? In any case, I would imagine they are worth taking to PCGS.
Maybe they just look too shiny. Yes, either MS or PR, in that condition, if real, are definitely worth grading. People simply wouldn't buy them unslabbed
Hard to tell from those images, but I think these coins are cleaned. Assuming that is true they'd be UNC Details.
Good point. I saw extra shiny and sharp and figured proof. That type of shine, now that I think about it, is uncharacteristic of these coins.
