Usually when I post pictures, the upload responds with only the word names for the photo files. Now and then I get thumbnail photos which are so much easier to use. I can’t detect what settings to use to get the thumbnails. Does anyone know what the trick is?
I'm not sure but I believe it defaults to thumbnails and you have to select full size. I hate thumbnails because I can't see them unless I open them up in a new tab, and then use ctrl+ several times so I can hopefully see what I am looking at. Then I have to go back, reset size so I can find the next thumbnail and go through the whole process over again. For this reason I often skip threads where the OP has used thumbnails. especially if they have used a LOT of them. (And sometimes when you open the thumbnail in a new tab, the image is the same size as the thumbnail!.)
I am not talking about viewing pictures that are part of a post. I am talking about selecting the photos that are connected with the post. How do you get to thumbnail mode, instead of the flie names, to select those.
Do you mean that most of the time it is like this: But you want this: If so, you need to do the following (if on a desktop/laptop computer): After clicking upload and getting to the needed folder: ~right click on your mouse ~navigate towards "view" ~and then select "Large icons" or "Extra large icons"
John.... I select a photo from my phone or computer data files and attach it. It always defaults to the thumbnail you see below. It is only after I select “Full Image” that the photo shows in the thread as a full size photo.
If I understand correctly you're talking about your computer settings. Go to whatever folder/s you have your pics stored in and select View. That's where you can permanently change how the pics show up on your computer for selection.
