I found a 1952 wheat penny that have a mistake. The back was printed upside down. Anyone have any information about it?

I think what your talking about is called a rotated reverse. This is when the reverse die is loaded in the wrong rotation.

What do you mean by upside down? You need to provide a "flip reference" to what you mean because if you flip it sideways, it should be upside down but if you flip it top to bottom (vertically) it should be rightside up. So how are you flipping the coin (aka: flip reference)?

When you are looking at the penny and the dudes head on the front of the coin it should look like this. [IMG]

Then when you turn it over by flipping it to the right or the left it should look this.

That is what is suppose to happen but if you flip up or down the wheat side will be facing up. :smile
BTW that is my wheatie. :)

It is getting kind of annoying when new users come and make one post and never come back to see what anyone says. :)
But new users are always welcome here at CT!!! :D

His point is right. The poster posted this 3 weeks ago and got immediate replies but never followed up on the original post.

If they were confused and there was no error, it would have been polite to have posted a reply by now but they didn't and that can be demoralizing to members here. It makes one think twice about taking the time to answer someone's question, if that person won't ever respond to acknowledge the information the member provided.

So while his comment was a little harsh, I understand where he's coming from. Personally, I just try to keep it to myself and won't usually voice my disgust with how some peeps are unless it's the PRWE Forum. ;)

Well I was going to [IMG] him to the forum, but PKMenace probably won't see it. Maybe their computer crashed.

welcome to CT. all members are welcome here. Im sure he read the response, diagnosed wether his coin was a genuine mistake or not, and banked the knowledge. thats why we are here. To help others learn more about coins. Not to accept praise for our knowledge.

Very little knowledge went into replying to this post. It's a typical newbie post but when that newbie drops us (CoinTalk) like a sack of rotten potatoes, it's demoralizing to those that take the time to respond to their query. There's no praise involved, just a simple reply, like:

    I don't have a camera. Sorry!

    or

It's not my coin, it belongs to someone else and when I get over to their house, I'll look closer at it.

    or

    etc . . . .

There is no praise involved, it's called simple courtesy, which many people lack! :goof: Do you bend over backwards to be courteous to those who are not courteous to you?

I made my comments because FG got slammed for a simple comment he made and I understood his frustrations, I guess you didn't?

But I still wuv ya Snaz!

What's worse is they often take the first response which may have only partial information or may even be completely wrong and they run off with that rather than waiting until the situation has been completely analyzed and correct information given.
