50 Gold Proof

    I have a 1986 $50 Gold Proof. Could anyone give me an idea what would it would be worth? It is not graded but still in the original government package. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Is this a US coin? Are you sure it is a coin and not bullion or a medal?

    I am assuming he means a 1 ounce gold $50 American Eagle. Do you have pictures? If real, it would probably be worth $800-$900.

    No argument from me. For some reason I thought the $50 was added later. Since AGEs are not "coins" I don't follow them closely.
