1928 or 1926?.... 1920?

Hey guys and gals I know I have been m.i.a. a while but if i could get some opinions on if this coin is 1928s or 1926s I would sure appreciate it.

So I spent an hour on it... my gf spent at least 30 minutes. In the end I decided tput it in my collection book under 1928s due to the mint Mark's location. After looking at many different pictures of both 1926 and 1928. I found more often then not the S was up against the 9 and high when it comes to 1928s pennies. While most commonly with 1926s the S was more under the 2.

I do have pictures however I only just took them to write this post. In so doing I found my phone makes it look more like a 0 or 1920s and I did not get any real pictures that do it justice to looking like an 8 or 6... in person however it looks more so like an 8 i.m.o.

It looks like an "8" to me. ~ Chris

 

You can't go by mintmark locations for coins like this. Mintmarks were hand punched into dies until 1989 and can vary in location.

FWIW, I'll go with 28-S.

Looks like an 8 to me, but in its condition it's just a hole filler in my opinion. Welcome back.

 

I pulled up to pictures from different angles and both of them screamed 8 at me. Then I looked at the responses. I guess I'm not as old as I thought. It's an 8 for sure.
