Hello Everyone,

I am a brand new collector (just received my first 6 coins) and I am loving this new hobby. So many people on here have given me great advice, I am really enjoying this online community. I wanted to share my three favorite coins (Probus, Constantine, Probus, not that I have to tell anyone).

I think it might be interesting if the Mint did a limited run of common coins in Gold Proof. Proof Gold "Ike sized" dollar, Half-dollar, Quarter, Dime, Nickle, and Penny. Perhaps all in one set with 2020 as the mint year. Would anyone besides me purchase that?

Came on the boards today to share some silver I found while cleaning an estate. These were mixed in with about CA$20 of spendable modern coins (plus some Swiss rappen & the odd demonetized Mexican nuevo Peso):

My prize preferences are -
FIrst) 1 (Spain 2 reales 1723 with oval punch)
Second) 4 (I could absolutely use a replacement loupe
Third) 1 (1945 1c with straight edge clip ms63 RB ANACS)

A lot of great prizes to pick from!

 

I'd be interested. But probaby in the secondary market. Mint prices seem to be getting futher and furher out of step with market pricing.

My thanks to LordM and friends for yet another giveaway.

I started collecting at 13 (U.S. business strikes). I really got into it. A couple of years later I purchased my first (and so far only) coin … a Flying Eagle Cent. I bought it because I really wanted one, and it was (and is) a beautiful coin. Before too long collecting was only going through pocket change – which was fine. I am now, many, many, many decades later getting back into collecting. I have joined a local coin club and will probably buy coin, but after the corona thing settles.

 

Actually, I think you just disqualified yourself by entering the words "Entry Post" on two separate posts, but Rob aka @lordmarcovan is pretty lenient. So, he will probably just exclude one of them. ~ Chris
