with the election over (at last!) the next item on the list is the inaugural medal, which will come out sometime in the next couple of months. Does anyone have any information on it? I remember last time they tried to change the design after it was already on sale and shipping.
Guys, I know some of you are sore about the outcome of the election, but please understand that I will not at all tolerate politics creeping into threads at Coin Talk. All of you know that I built a place for you to use as an outlet for your political discussions. Talking about an inaugural medal is fine, sarcastic political comments are not.
Well... I"ve got all of them since JFK, and I remember the controversy last time (I have a type one Bush/Cheney) and want to add to my collection. Presidential inaugural medals are considered "honorary" US coins and I figure that we'll see at something more creative than the Clinton or Bush ones. The Reagan first term one was excellent.
I love it! Teddy is at the top of my list for presidents, commissioning st. gaudins alone endears him to me where can one go to learn more about these medals? EDIT: just noticed the image link... www.inauguralmedals.com

Obama Inaugural Medal. The Medalcraft Mint out of Green Bay Wisconsin produced the two inaugural medals for Bush Jr. They did a fantastic job on them. Im hoping they may get it. Or, maybe Medallic Art, another fine company.
