Any experts out there can tell me what this one is worth? Thanks.

I believe it to be genuine. My stepfather was a coin dealer. This was in a coin envelope. He would have typically written "replica" if it were one.

Is your photo distorted or is the coin really that oval? Flans can be oval but your dotted border looks oval also which would be unusual.

That is an astute observation ;). Hopefully the coin isn't as oval as the photo . As Doug noted, the borders should be round regardless of the flan shape or centering of the die impressions.

PeterB, Thanks, that follis is about as nice as you'll find. It cost me more than the $40.00/45.00 range .

It is not a distorted photo. The coin is most definitely oval. I guess it would be a replica huh?

Lyricfive, I wouldn't bet the farm on this follis being genuine. These coins are so plentiful it's hard to believe there would be counterfeits of them, but anything is possible.... Compare your coin to a few more type A2 folles.

Maybe it was flattened on a railroad track:smuggrin:

It most definitely does not look right to me. But it could be due to the flattening of the very bold lettering

And as @Al Kowsky points out, why would you?
