First 2020 Coin Of The Year

@Islander80-83 found this guy in a box yesterday and was kind enough to give it to me this morning in the bank parking lot. Crazy that a 2020D is the first coin to pop up and it was all the way out here on the East Coast.

Don't worry, these bats don't have Covid19 and Islander and I used proper "social distancing" techniques when we did the hand off lol.

Nice! I envy you guys who can meet in person with other CT Members. I have found 2 Bat quarters so far, both Denvers. One is nice enough to go in the Dansco.

 

4 bats, all D. (Almost all the coins we get are D, like 95%).
The first one was spectacular with almost no bag marks at all, it's in the album
or I would show a photo. I think I got 2 Monday and 2 Wednesday. In change from Sprouts before the hoarding madness took over the town.

 

Interesting year so far: picked up my first 2020 dime in January, several cents and dimes in February, and a nickel in the first week of March. No quarters yet, but I keep checking my change. In years past, I don't think I picked up that year's coinage until April or so. This year the roll-out was quicker.

 

I usually get my first cents in early Feb. I just picked up 4 boxes yesterday. Almost solid 2019Ps! I haven't seen a 2020 anything in the wild yet.

 

I found 10 bat quarters all p out hear in long Island

 

Congrats on the 2020 find! I have put all my crh'ing on hold until all of this blows over. I have enough to keep me busy without worrying how to get it back to a bank!

 

I am sitting on like $275 worth of cents bagged and ready to be dumped. No idea when that’ll happen...

 

It took until May to find my first 2020 coin. Got a 2020D Cent this morning from my local coffee shop. This is officially the latest I've ever received a new year's coins.

 

I've got all of the "D" released coins so far, get quite a bit out here in California. Unfortunately, I haven't found any quarters with a "V75" yet. Also, it takes me forever to get the East Coast "P" coins. Some times up to over a year. I used to have somebody I would trade with coin for coin here on CT, but haven't heard from them in quite awhile. I might end up having to buy them from eBay. I can't stand waiting for the new releases.

 

I've seen a small handful of Samoa quarters and 2 Weir Farm. All D's.
I haven't checked the other denominations, but nothing super lustrous has
stood out for me to check.

 

One more addition this week. Found my first 2020(P) cent on Saturday. This goes with my 20D cent from last week. Still no new nickels, dimes, or quarters so far.

 

Here it is May 20, and at four different banks I have had tellers who have not seen a single 2020 coin. ...and its cold outside! Let this year be over!

 

I got one also, but I can remember if I put it on the P side or the D side. Oh well. I guess I'll have to dig the book out of one of 9 boxes I use to store my coins.

 

Found 2 p bats and 3 p wiers. Ethen sent me a w bat. Love that guy

Mr frog. I've been chasing quarters since last year for those stupid Ws. God i can't wait to get back into checking lincolns again. Thats where my real love lies. You know how you have a bunch of WAMs. I must have as many Delaware spitting horses and Arizona cactus errors. Thinking of rolling them all up and getting my hair done. Looking pretty gray

 

Nine boxes!!!!!! All my coins are in a shoe box. And i could fit a ham in there as well

 

I've pulled 7 Weir quarters so far. All D's. One of the first 3 was not "album quality"
(very close) but now they are starting to come with less luster and more nicks, so I put one in, and will replace it if I ever get a better one.
