I don't do auctions, mainly because I'm not familiar with most companies. If I see a coin for sale by a vendor that I like, I buy a less expensive coin to see what I get. I haven't had any problems yet. If the whole transaction and coin is fairly representative, I usually pull the trigger and by a "Graded" coin if gold or silver. Having been a state auditor, I really trust very few people. As my father told me, "People are only as honest as they can get away with."
Theirs sold for $809.99, yeah I think their pics had a lot to do with their sale price! Great Southern Coins, strikes again!! https://www.ebay.com/itm/1915-S-Pan...Dollar-1-Very-Nice-Superb-Gem-BU/373047460253
The surfaces on the GC coin don't look right to me, but maybe that's just the photography. Impossible to tell; and since I hate going through the hassle of returning things, I won't bid on their raw offerings. Not trying to bore anybody, but here is another MS65:
I may be wrong but I've always suspected that they crack slabbed coins out that were graded cleaned and sell them as raw .
Many customer feedbacks reporting cleaned coins. Don't know why anybody would buy from a seller that has so many negative feedbacks.
