Well, I'm not sure where to actually put this item .. whatever ..
Any idea what happened to ebay seller "Centsles" ? He no longer sells on ebay, and his registration appears as no longer a registered user. Maybe because of the health emergency? From time to time he sold very interesting pieces of NGC or PCGS.

    Thanks.

There’s a lot of old threads about the person in question. Put his name in “Search Forums” and they will pop up.

I did not ask about a valuation of your experience in evaluating of coins. I asked if anyone knew why he was not active in his sales, nothing more.

Yeah, I've bought from him before a few times. I never had a problem with him at all, that said I don't know if he got the boot or what happened to him. :D

Maybe not necessary but I'm still going to post on the topic.

It's very possible that he just shut down to get a fresh start. The guy had great grading skills. I believe he even won the PCGS grading contest at one time. He did not follow those same standards with the coins he graded to sell. We all have our own set of standards to a point. He and the grading services have that right. Nothing says that anyone has to agree with those standards.

Many folks believe the images used did not show the true look of the coin. There have been many post on the forums that would show the difference.
With that said, we see that all the time. A different image can make it tough to even know if it's the same coin.

It's also possible that he is or will be back on ebay with a new user name and a fresh start. I can also see sellers that get sick of ebay and just quit using it.

Not sure if he was one, but the sellers that have a lot of returns are getting killed by PayPal keeping the fees now, many will probably start a new account for a new reputation or just call it quits

Yes, he was the winner in the dealers and graders catagory in the first PCGS World Series of Grading.

I always avoided his Ebay auctions like the plague. To me he was a suspicious seller.

If he sneaks back on Ebay, will he continue to use his basement slabs ?

I purchased thousands of coins from Robert, never had a problem, which I can't say about some that were, and are preferred by eBay. I believe his hearsay words may better explain: https://forums.collectors.com/discu...email-i-got-from-centsles-re-ebay-coin-policy
