Interesting pennies in back to back rolls

Discussion in 'Coin Roll Hunting' started by DAVID J SAUNDERS, May 11, 2020.

  1. One coin: blank. Could it be from mint?
One coin: hole but note Lincoln's face
One coin: side dent. Could it have come from mint like that?

The blank looks good to me :) nice.

The side dent isn't a mint error though.

The only error is the blank planchet. (I think that's what it is) but the others are just damage. The hole is damage, and the dent was made by someone outside of the mint.

Welcome to Coin Talk. There's no premium for a cent with a hole in it. The dent in the 1974 cent was done outside the US Mint. If it were a clipped coin, the rim would be missing. The blank cent has some value. Here's one selling for $8.99 on eCrater.

The blanknis a nice Mint error. Worth less than $5.00 in my area. The other two are damaged after leaving the Mint. They are worth one cent each.

  10. Thanks. By the way, how do you collect Philippine coins? I have several Filipino friends in Philippines, and I try to tell them to collect. Any good suggestions as to coins to start them off easy? I said the 2005/6/7 6 peso.

  11. Thanks. I liked it. I'm thinking mine is a blank, and not a blank planchet because there doesn't seem to be much of a rim. But maybe that's a blank planchet.

Mom is philippino, so I get a few coins from her when she goes to the homeland every year for a month, then I buy huge lots of world coins, separate them, keep what I want then sell/trade the rest. Basically it

  13. Sounds great. I've been to the Philippines 3x, with close friends there, and I tell them about me collecting coins. I ask while i'm there if they have old filipino coins but so far, no one ever pulls out any coins older than 20 years old.
