I like your grade. I think the hits to the jaw line (Op) dropped the grade, however, the breast feathers on the reverse look un-marred. MS-64 obverse, MS-65 reverse.
For comparison purposes. This is NOT my coin. Much less clean. This makes me think undergraded, again:
You mean Morgandudes? I didnt post my reverse and wasnt trying to hijack his thread. It was really more a comment that I cant tell from his pics. Even with the 2nd one.
Your coin looks to have a lot of light scuffs on the cheek, but it is quite attractive. I can't comment further without seeing a picture I'm comfortable grading from or the coin itself. I can't judge against the 65, because they're totally different photos.
That is ok. I am happy with it. I have 8 1904o coins in my collection, ranging from toned 63 to blazing 66+, so this has a place just as it is. PL coins are very hard to photograph well.
Alternatively, perhaps this 65 is overgraded? I can't accurately judge from the pictures of your coin - but I suspect there are just a few too many marks. The spot in the obverse field is a negative as well, in my opinion. Again, your pictures aren't clear enough for me to say one way or another if your coin is accurately graded or not.
I have to get better pictures. These have been with my cell phone, as my Nikon has two batteries that won’t hold a charge. As soon as the new batteries come this week from Adorama, I am doing better pictures, with my Nikon D 5500.
Apropos of 1904o coins, this is one of my nicer ones. Looks like a die polish coin, with almost enough to be PL.
