That is an awfully clean, lustrous coin for a 63. Definitely under graded.

I have 3 of these in NGC64 holders that aren't even this nice.

Did NGC have an issue with the 2 long scrapes from the 9 to TrVst ? I did. Doesn’t stop me from loving it.

I have it in hand, and that isn't even visible to the normal viewer. There is a certain light you have to get it in to even notice.

I can't help but feel the grader was asleep at the time they looked at this coin.

    63? That's outrageous.

Maybe not worth re-submitting to NGC, but perhaps shipping off to CAC? That's gold bean worthy.

Not gold bean, but certainly green bean.

How did you go from guessing MS65, to seeing the actual grade of MS63, to then deciphering it would not get a gold sticker from CAC?

Gold stickers are rare, comparatively. I thin, objectively, it should grade 65, with a green bean.

BUT, for that coin in that holder, a gold sticker makes far more sense than a green one does. I think the chances of it gold'ing are far better than the chances of re-submitting it, it getting a 65, and then it green'ing.

Maybe. I would crack it out, send it to NGC, and I would bet on a 65* grade. Then, submit for the bean.

Do you plan on selling it or keeping it?

Too bad I got to this after the reveal. I was going to say 63.

I would like to keep it. It has some sentimental value, being one of the first coins I got while getting into collecting about 10 years ago.

So why waste any money resubmitting it?

I never said I wanted to resubmit it. It might go to CAC, but that's the most I'll be willing to do.

Gotcha. Just seemed like some were saying to do that. I've had coins like yours where I thought there was noway in hell that is the correct grade up and down. It's all just an opinion anyway. (Unless, of course, you were wanting to sell it for maximum profit)
