Well it’s obviously a Denver mint item - did you inform him of that and give him chance to change it? How do u know this is deliberate and not some mistake?
It is really made of aluminum, but it is a struck counterfeit. I have one just like it. It was felonious to sell it
I just reported someone a couple of days for trying to buy my positive feedback after I had left them negative. I think some sellers care a lot about their feedback.
And it's 25% off--wow--The difference between the Detroit mint mark and the Denver mint mark is the size of the D--Don't forget the Detroit mint was only open for 6 months and the Denver mint took over since then and I can't believe you guys are still reading this......lol
It seems that what started out on Etsy has spread to other sellers. There are numerous other online sellers like Mercati, Bonanza, HiBid, Listia etc. If not ridiculous prices then cleaned, over graded, etc.
My favorite is his "error" Buffalo nickel with a picture of a Canadian nickel with the beaver on the back...one helluva error!
Actually it is the Canadian "puzzle" nickel, the Queen is one side and a beaver is on the other side, you have to figure out which is which.
