I wrote to the seller asking her why she selling this fake , she insisted it was not a fake and anyone who is not an insider like her can't get a fair shake , she stated the person at PCI said he thought it was real , but wouldn't grade it , duh , why didn't she just have it authenticated . She also went on saying the damage that looks like a one is just damage , also says she doesn't know how to take good pictures , I told her as a seller it's her responsability to have better pictures taken or borrow a better camera , also asked why she would sell such an " exspensive " coin on ebay for $800 when it's worth at least $30,000 , waiting for her responce now , what a crock . rzage PS. Please report it again .
Reported it again , I think she might have the people at ebay believing her bull---- story , maybe we should pitch in and buy it and destroy it . rzage
It may have been a 1836. But it was definately a counterfeit. At least that's what the owner said it was.
well, they haven't pulled this one and probably won't. Only two hours left. I'm disappointed in eBay.
First, I am still reporting it. Secondly, they do (more often than makes sense to me) cancel a listing after it has closed.
No it's still their you have to go to the 2nd listing , also real '43 coppers will have Proof like rims due to the pressure the steel cents had to be struck with , and the VDB on Lincolns shoulder is very precise unlike normal copper cents of that era . http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=230303419163&Category=524null Go here for the relisted piece . rzage
Reported it again , she says it'e guarenteed , guarenteed for what to be a fake , I think she really believes this coin to be the real thing , she does have a pretty long history so maybe she will return the coin if not real , without the coin in hand it has a 1 % chance it could be legit , go ahead BLAST AWAY , I probably deserve it . rzage
