Ooof. Your last 3 GTGs have been challenging and fun. I've been 2 grades high on 2, then 2 grades low on the other.

It makes me feel better about mine. I bought a $10 Gold Liberty a few years ago and I was upset when it came back from NGC as a MS-61. I can't remember what I paid for it, but it was the first coin that I had graded. With what is happening with gold now, I doubt the Red Book's value is valid, but I do love the coin. I really like yours as well. In the eyes of the beholder.

I'll take the unpopular opinion and say that NGC got this one right. The reverse is great y'all, 58 caliber. That luster. Those details on the feathers and shield. Let's get hammered.

But look at the obverse, this is one worn down lady: the eyebrow, hair, nose, cheek, shoulder, and neck. The strike likely didn't do her any favors, but AU53 is an appropriate grade for this coin.

I’m not complaining about the grade. It came from a dealer whose coins are right on the money.

AU53 was honestly my first guess before I saw the reveal. The wear on the obverse, especially above the ear, hold it back. The reverse looks 55 ish to me.
